Dogs are the most loyal animals in the world, if there is anyone out there who doubts that our story is a great proof of how much loyalty these creatures have.
Some volunteers from an animal rescue in Uzhgorod, Ukraine witnessed some emotional scenes.
A loyal canine kept guarding and taking care of his furry friend for at least several days.
The dog was somehow injured ( he got hit by a train most likely) and then got stuck in the tracks of the train.
The fate of this poor animal seemed sealed, but the brave and loyal friend refused to leave her alone, and was brave to even protect her by keeping her head down when the trains passed by.
What made matter the worse was the extremely low temperature.
Denis Malafeyev, one of the rescue team shared the touching story on Facebook.
“When we arrived, it turned out that one of the dogs, the female, was injured and couldn’t move,” Denis wrote in a Facebook post. “The male dog heard the sound of the approaching train, came close to the female dog and laid down next to her… Both of them pushed their heads towards the ground, and let the train pass.”
“The male dog was doing this for two days in a row. Think about it. He was keeping her warm,” wrote the rescuer!
Luckily the dogs were saved and sent to a local animal shelter, and there they received the needed medical help.
The rescuers found out later that the dogs named Lucy and Panda were actually lost, so after Lucy got better they reunited with their beloved owner.
Talk about a true friendship.
