Touching moment disabled man climbs out of wheelchair to save drowning kitten

Social media has been filled with a video of  a disabled man that climbs out of a wheelchair to save a helpless kitten and it’s the sweetest thing you can witness.

For Abu Fathiyyaturahma Menk Abdun Mujtahid it was a normal Saturday afternoon, the 36 year old man from Sabah, Malaysia, was going to the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex his training place when he came across a small creature stuck in a drain.

At first he couldn’t tell what the animal was but when he took a better look he saw that there was a tiny kitten fighting to survive. The man knew he needed to do something.

The man even though couldn’t move his legs, he simply climbed out of his chair and headed to the drain to save the poor creature.

The scene was filmed by a friend of Abu, who is also disabled according to the MNN News reports.

“We saw the kitten stuck there and knew we could not leave it. I decided to get the kitten myself because it would be more dangerous for my friend who uses prosthetic legs,” Abu told local media. “The banks of the drain were steep and not level, so it was difficult to negotiate. But I’m glad we could help the cat.”

Abu stated that he was so happy and proud that he helped the kitten, he even joked at the end saying: “I hope the kitten has learned his lesson and stays away from danger.”

What an amazing act,  true hero.
